What is a virtual challenge?  A virtual challenge can done from any location you choose. You can run, jog, walk, cycle, swim, use a wheelchair - whatever you choose and however you choose to complete a distance.  There is no restriction on discipline.  We aim to be as inclusive as impossible. 

You get to complete your own challenge, at your own pace, and time it yourself. And your medal will be shipped directly to you.

Step 1: Sign up for any Race The Distance Challenge

Step 2: Complete it whenever and wherever you want to. As long as you complete the distance, you would have earn't your medal.  We send out your medal to you.

Submitting and Claiming your Medal

For all new challenges from 3rd February 2021, you will be emailed a seperate link / webpage when you sign up, to upload your progress as and when you want to.  

Strava Connect

Uploading your progress could not be easier with our challenges allowing you to upload activities direct from Strava.  Do not worry if you do not have Strava, as you can also add activities manually.

Checking Your Progress

From February 2021, for new challenges, we have a real-time results system with instant tables, sortable by age, gender and Country.   We also have live tracking 'journeys' with fully interactive maps for our annual and seasonal longer challenges!

All the routes follow real life roads and trails, target the next town along on the map,  pass landmarks, cross countries, it's going to be fun!

Every Challenger who completes their target goal will be included in the 'completers table' which will be compiled at the end of 2021

Each competitor will recieve a downloadable personalised challenge certificaticate with details of ther results included.

All Other Questions 

1) How can I take part? 

Absolutely any discipline - Race The Distance has challenges for everyone, of all abilities.

2) Do I have to submit my race and prove I did it? 

No.  

3) Can Children take part? 

Yes absolutely, if you feel they are able to.

4) How long is delivery?

All medals are dispatched within 1-2 days unless specified  (with the exception of annual, seasonal and RED challenges).

5) How much is shipping? 

Free to UK, £4.95 to Europe and £9.95 to the rest of the World.

6) What if I've not got delivery?

If 2 weeks has passed, it's likely the items have got lost in the postal service.  Please contact us to arrange a replacement. Please note we can not replace items after 4 weeks because we would have made the associated charity donations and covered our costs.
